Li Keqiang Meets with Queen Margrethe II of Denmark

In the afternoon of April 25, 2014, Premier Li Keqiang met with Queen Margrethe II of Denmark at the Great Hall of the People.

Li Keqiang said, President Xi Jinping held a quite fruitful meeting with Your Majesty yesterday. Denmark was one of the first western countries that established diplomatic relationship with the People's Republic of China. The bilateral relations have always enjoyed a sound and steady development. China is willing, together with Denmark, to enrich the China-Denmark relationship and to promote the development of China-Europe relations in line with the principles of mutual respect, equality and common development.

Li Keqiang pointed out, hope China and Denmark will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of innovation, research and development, clean energy, education, culture, and eco-environmental protection. Under the cooperation framework of China-EU Urbanization Partnership, we should achieve a smooth interface of the pilot cooperation between smart green cities of both countries, and make further efforts to create a fairer, more transparent, open, and stable investment and operation environment for enterprises of the two countries, so as to form an all-dimensional, multi-layer and high-level new cooperation pattern.

Margrethe II said that she is very glad to visit China again 35 years after her first visit and experiences by herself the tremendous changes brought by the development in China, as well as the friendlship between the two peoples. She hoped that the two countries will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in all fields and push forward the Denmark-China relationship for greater development.
